Last night was our second visit to Luigi's because we live three hours away. We remembered it being so good the last time that we had to come back. It was Wednesday night, after the dinner rush, but every seat was filled. When we entered, we got seated immediately. Our waitress got us drinks within three minutes. We didn't even wait 10 minutes for our food. The food was amazing, it was the reason why we came back. I had three refills, and they came out before I even asked. When we got the bill, it was $27. That was for a large pepperoni pizza, garlic bread with cheese, and two soft drinks. In 2024, that is a great deal.

I'm at a total loss with this place. With a line out the door to get in you would think it would have been the best pizza you've had. Unfortunately it was probably the worst pizza we've had. The pizza was tasteless and scant toppings. The salad, which I was excited to have with all the cheese, was also bland. They must not have shook the dressing bc all I tasted was vinegar & oil. The meatballs were hard and dry. The only thing that tasted like something was the garlic bread. Our waitress was the only thing that made the experience tolerable. She was so personable and attentive. Such a let down for what it is portrayed as on Google reviews.

THIS is the kind of local institution that I go out of my way to find. The lasagna is absolutely phenomenal, full stop some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Even though it's cash only that should not deter you from coming here to eat. Any time I come to Akron in the future, this will be my go-to joint. Absolutely out of this world flavor, and it has such a classic atmosphere too. Reminds me of days long gone by.

An Akron staple if you're in the area, you have to stop by for a salad with cheese. The antipasto is excellent. The salad dressing here is very good you can ecmven buy a bottle to go. You can not go wrong with their baked spaghetti. The italian sub is also really decent. Also, be sure to get some of their garlic bread and cheese it's a personal favorite. Also all meals come with free bread and butter. Be warned this place is very busy. A 45-minute wait is very common. They do have plenty of parking, and they stay open late as well.

First time here and I was amazed by the taste, quality, and freshness of all the food. You can tell that they have been serving this amazing food for the last 75 years and are still going strong. And most importantly you feel welcomed and taking care of the whole time
